| Anonymizer: Anonymous Web Surfing This is probably "the best" site in security for surfing anonymously on the Web for free. Just type in the website you'd like to go to anonymously. It offers an unlimited free trial that you can use over again, but the bad news is because it is a free trial you get a short delay before going anonymously to a website through their service. Security wise you are getting top-of-the-line for free if you can suffer the short delay, while surfing the Web. It protects your privacy in general, such as from cookies and webtrials, but it also protects your IP address from being seen....making you next to invisible from being monitored, and "very" well protected from being hacked. | MackAttack's Anonymous Browsing MackAttackk's Anonymous Browsing, Contains many links for CGI-Proxy/Proxies, enables you to surf the web without a trace, in anonymity. | safeweb.com SafeWeb provides the first free, completely private and
secure way to surf the Web anywhere, anytime.
safeWeb is an HTTP anonymizer, i.e. it hides all information regarding the sites a user wishes to access via encryption. In normal Web browsing, traffic goes directly to the Web site the user requests and can be monitored. safeWeb, however, takes the normal HTTP connection and encrypts the data using HTTP over SSL (HTTPS). It then acts as a proxy for that traffic, thus making monitoring nearly impossible since it all appears to be destined only for the safeWeb site. After a connection has been established with safeWeb, users can request any site they wish. This data is encrypted, and only 'seen' by the safeWeb proxy, which retrieves the requested page and returns it to the user in encrypted form. | SpaceProxy: Anonymous Web Surfing They hides your IP address from the web sites you vist, which should make you "very" anonymous and secure, while surfing the Web. Your IP address they say is,"the most important piece of information a hacker needs to gain access to your computer". It does not mention about any other things it protects you from besides just hiding your IP address. However, the fact that it does hide your IP address makes you "extremley" anonymous and protected alone. Since, you can always get free programs or change your Web browsers security settings to "high" to protect and keep yourself anonymous from about anything else besides that. Also, unlike other free IP hiding services this one has "no" delay with it, and you can even intergrate their IP hiding service into your website if you wanted to, as well. | Batch Replacer for MS Word This utility allows to make a multi replacement operation in MS Word files. Expressions for replacement must be specified in Excel document. | Cloak Cloak is an encryption / decryption program, allowing you to send or store information with potentially total security. The design of Cloak is such that the security is in the hands of the user, not the program. | Cookie Cruncher This is an easy to use and install free program that works in the background like a virus checker, only it helps keep you anonymous while surfing the web. It protects you from cookies that many websites will leave you with to track your visits to their webiste, or track your visits to other websittes, as well as possibly spy on your activities while on-line. In extreme cases cookies may even be used to inform someone on the Internet your passwords to things you have typed in on the Web. If you need cookies enabled to access a certain website (some cookies can be usefull and store your information so you don't have to type something in again) you can eaisly just turn cookie protection mode off, and when you want to reject all cookies again you can turn it back on. It has been "highly" recommended by several credible sources, including Download.com, Tucows.com, and PC Magazine. NOTE: This program "does not" protect your IP address from being seen | Cryptext Cryptext is a public domain Windows shell extension that performs strong file encryption and runs on Windows 95 or later and NT4 or later. It is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hungarian, Danish, and Finnish language versions. You just right-click on any file system object to encrypt or decrypt it. It uses a combination of SHA-1 and RC4 to encrypt files using a 160-bit key, and generates a salt value for each file to ensure that no two files are encrypted with the same keystream. | | |
