The World of Thorne
The World of Thorne is an in depth bulletin board based fantasy role playing club with eight years of history behind it. Our mostly freeform game mixes in elements of pen and paper role playing to keep certain aspects of the game, like character to character combat, exciting and dangerous. The vivid environment we have created not only caters to the familiar favorites of freeform gaming, such as heavy interaction with other members in a wide variety of situations and settings, but the way the world is structured and developed allows all members the opportunity to create new races, design their own cities, claim and rule over their own empires; widening the range of role playing opportunities enormously, from rogue adventurers to the leaders of great and powerful nations, from laughs and drinks in a tavern to worldwide warfare, meanwhile all our rules are geared towards speeding up the slow and tedious play normally found in other play by post games.
